The honesty here really stayed with us. After checkout, my little one realized he'd left his Christmas family money in the room. We hurried back worried, but it was still there, untouched. That kind of integrity is rare and much appreciated. The room was basic but spotless, with everything we needed in working order. We got a warm welcome and an easy check-in, enjoyed the stunning balcony and upstairs terrace views, and had hot water in the shower. The area felt safe and secure. Breakfast was freshly made, with delicious orange juice, and our lovely host kindly offered coffee too. Her warmth made the stay even better. Out of Bounds in Escazú, San José, is a beautiful gem. We'll stay here every time we visit San José. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

The staff were wonderful, and Marvin was a big help bringing all our luggage up to the room. The plants around the property were beautiful. I loved our stay.

The staff and breakfast were great, and the place itself is nice and clean. But with no maintenance on the trees, the wind blew them into the top of the roof, making an extremely loud banging noise all night. I got absolutely no sleep.

Just an okay place. Breakfast was good and service was okay, but there wasn't much to walk to in the area and parking was pretty bad. Some rooms have a view; mine had zero windows. They didn't clean the room during my stay, unless I was supposed to ask. On check-in day I waited outside for at least 15 minutes. I called their number and rang the bell, but nobody came out. A guest happened to leave, and that's how I got into the property.

The view was spectacular, and the hotel is near the airport, about a 10-15 minute Uber or taxi ride into town. I didn't feel like I missed anything by staying here. Service was incredible from the room to breakfast. Fernando at reception and Paola at breakfast were exceptional. Had a lovely stay.
