Salvatierra Beachfront Hotel

The sunsets were consistently mind-blowing, and the beach was pristine, with lovely waves and beautiful ocean water. It’s a remote area, but Salvatierra had everything I needed and was a perfect place to reconnect with nature. I’d highly recommend taking part in an experience here, and I’ll definitely return. I spent about 21 days here for a teacher training with Yoga East + West and can’t think of much else I would have wanted. For 21 straight days, I ate the best food I’ve ever had. It was vibrant and colorful, all made with love by a talented, kind kitchen team. The rooms are comfortable, with fans and a design that lets air flow so they stay cool for sleeping. Coming from the cold North, it took me a few days to adjust, but by the end I was using a blanket. Drinking water is available throughout the property, which was probably my favorite thing as someone who’s always thirsty.

The land and people are beautiful, and the whole place feels special. The secluded Playa Coyote has gorgeous sunrises and sunsets, while the rooms, common areas, food, and staff make the stay even better. Cole, Suzi, and the team bring a warm, joyful energy. The food is genuinely healthy and delicious, and I’m still dreaming about the ceviche. Rooms are spotless and private, surrounded by trees, with screened windows and ceiling fans for good airflow. The pools look out over the ocean, and the yoga shala feels like floating among the trees.

A quiet, peaceful, beautiful place to reset. Salvatierra feels like a real retreat, away from the city lights, glamour, and crowds. The food is spectacular, the service is top-notch, and I’d come back every year.

I really didn’t want to leave after my 200-hour yoga teacher training in December. Salvatierra exceeded my expectations, with a gorgeous setting right on the beach and surrounded by nature. All the staff were friendly and welcoming.
