Apartotel Flamboyant

Good service and a great location. The rooms are spacious and large, and the price was fair.

Our 2yo son had such a good time, and the staff made all of us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They were really accommodating. The room was clean and spacious, with a great view and plenty of room for our family to relax. Breakfast was fantastic too. We had a wonderful vacation stay and highly recommend this hotel.

The main plus is that you step off the property straight onto the beach. The staff were nice and doing the best they could with what they had, but the rooms felt dated, the beds were hard, and there weren’t many pillows. I hadn’t done enough research before coming to jaco. The prostitution was much more visible and widespread than I expected, with young girls on display outside the “massage parlors,” which was sad to see. There were plenty of drugs around, and the atmosphere felt very seedy. It seemed popular for bachelor parties, but not really like a place for couples or families. Having a car helps you get around.

The courtyard at Apartotel Flamboyant was spectacular, and our second-floor room had a great ocean view. Breakfast was included at Koko’s, the restaurant next door, which you can reach from the courtyard. Both the food and service were exceptional. We only needed to give our room number at breakfast. Tips were appreciated but never requested. Koko’s was also a fun place for a couple of drinks and an appetizer while watching the sunset, before heading out for dinner, shopping, or more drinks. John gave us a warm welcome at check-in. There are different kinds of rooms; ours was simple, with working A/C, a king bed, a separate bathroom, a mini fridge, a safe we didn’t use, a place to hang some clothes, and a couple of shelves. That suited us fine since we were mainly there to sleep and shower. Our stay in Jacó was amazing, and we’d definitely return. (Sorry about the messy room picture, it was the only one I had.)
