We only stayed one night because there wasn’t more availability, but we would have stayed longer. The room was clean, with hot water and AC, and the place was quiet and secure with a pool and some off-street parking. The Wi-Fi barely worked upstairs. Luis, the manager, was very nice. Expedia said breakfast was included, but there wasn’t any. When we asked, he apologized and called the sofa restaurant down the street, then sent us there to eat for free. We were grateful he went out of his way, and my girlfriend loved the pool.

The manager or owner was very nice, and the old-looking AC worked. But this was probably my worst hotel stay ever. The bed hadn’t been changed after the previous guests: there were hairs, stains, breadcrumbs, and other things you don’t want in bed. They replaced the sheets when we complained, but the curtains had lots of disgusting stains too, and we couldn’t tell what they were. We also saw two cockroaches, found major water damage on the wall, and the old room felt unclean. The pool area didn’t look clean either. Breakfast was the saddest I’ve ever seen; we skipped it because it wasn’t appetizing. The place was run very unprofessionally and smelled of old cigarettes. I wouldn’t recommend this “hotel” to anyone with standards.

The pool was a nice alternative when we didn’t want to go to the beach, and Luis was kind and made sure I was reasonably comfortable through the stay. Getting there was frustrating, though. I was told my reservation had been canceled and the hotel was full. Luis found me a room for the first night, then moved me the next night. That room flooded after I showered, so I had to move again. The final room was good. I also wish guests didn’t have to rely on Luis alone to enter the hotel. A front door key or keypad would let people come and go as they please.

You’re right by the middle of things: cross the street for the beach, shops, and restaurants on the main strip. It’s a regular hotel, so there are no working girls here, and it’s safe for kids. The guy at the front desk is cool. Hopefully you get Louis.

A few snags came up during my stay with a friend, but we still had a relaxing, enjoyable time. Luis is the reason this hotel is excellent.
