BAUMA

BAUMA was a lovely place to stay, and everything was impeccably clean. The kitchen had enough equipment for basic meals, though it wasn’t quite like cooking at home. A note in the room said to request housekeeping on WhatsApp, but they came every day without us asking. If I could change one thing, I’d prefer a table for meals instead of the sofas.

We went in the rainy season and actually loved how peaceful the rain made everything feel. BAUMA helped arrange activities over WhatsApp, so have the app downloaded. We went horseback riding, had couples massages, and took a tour across the street at north fields. The drive from San Juan airport took about two hours, but it was worth it for seeing more of Costa Rica. The place was so clean, and we especially liked the patio jacuzzi and having coffee on the upper deck in the morning. I booked the November stay for my wife and me, and we thought it was amazing. WiFi is available if you need to work or use your phone.

We used the hot tub every day, and it was just right. The villa itself was quiet, fully private, and excellent, while the property is beautiful. I’d happily recommend this hotel.

There isn’t much on-site help, but the hotel office usually replies quickly on WhatsApp. The location works well for the activities around La Fortuna, and the place has a relaxed, stylish feel. The rooms are lovely, so it’s a great spot for a couple looking for somewhere to bunk down.
