The bathroom was outside our room, and the rooms were really hot, with full sun and no AC or fan. They were so loud we could hear everything, and the sun woke us at 5 a.m. Some guests got breakfast included, but our group didn’t, so it was $30 next door. Staff were rude when we asked about it. There are a few restaurants within walking distance.

The staff were amazing, and breakfast was free, which was great. The hotel is so well placed for everything La Fortuna has to offer. I only got back a few days ago and I’m already trying to book again. Miss you all already!

I left Hotel Arenal Rabfer feeling really relaxed. The room was clean and spacious, and the pool and delicious breakfast were highlights. It felt quiet and safe, with a great spot for walking into town. Fernando and Fernanda were so helpful with my questions and tour bookings.

I slept better here than I have in ages. The room was quiet, which is hard to find in La Fortuna, and didn’t have that overpowering cleaner smell so many hotels in CR have. The concierge was wonderful about handling my last-minute booking. Edit: the included breakfast choices are the best I’ve ever seen, with great cafe vibes. I’ll absolutely stay here again. Thanks!

A great budget-friendly choice near downtown Fortuna. It has the basics for a comfortable stay, and the breakfast was great. Definitely good value for the money.
