I've stayed at Casa Naranja a few times, and I always feel the same way: it's a little paradise tucked between the jungle and the sea 😍

My partner and I booked the villa through Airbnb and arrived a few days ago. We were told it wasn't ready, so our stay was moved to the next day. We asked about checking in early and were told that would be fine, but the place still wasn't ready on time. The pool was especially dirty, even though it was a big reason we rented the house for over 300 dollars a night. A representative from the rental company said workers would clean it the next morning. They came, turned off the water, and left without cleaning. When we contacted the landlord's representative, he said he'd come fix it, but never showed up. We spent three nights there, paid more than a thousand dollars, and were left with a dirty pool and a landlord who wouldn't answer. I want to warn other tourists: this feels like a scam. People dream for years about coming to Costa Rica and enjoying a villa with a pool, then run into a rental company that takes their money and ignores them after they've paid.
