The pool and outdoor seating didn't feel very inviting, but we enjoyed the meals, especially the really good pizza. Our room was clean and comfortable. The fridge wasn't working, though we didn't mention it because we had no need for it. Getting back up to the hotel is quite a steep walk, so the $5 USD cab ride from downtown felt worthwhile.

The meals were delicious, and Jorge and Snyder were both so friendly that they made us feel at home. We had breakfast and dinner through our Airbnb owner's arrangement with Los Jardinas restaurant, and it was a great experience. Dayson and Natalie at the front office looked after me and my family so well and made us feel welcome. We had a wonderful stay, and I highly recommend the place. Pura Vida!

The restaurant staff were great and took very good care of us, and the location made it easy to walk into town and back. But room service was a real problem. We were in room#16, which was never cleaned during our stay, even though we were told rooms were cleaned every day. Whenever we raised it with the front desk, they had an excuse. One of the beds was so worn out that its springs stuck through.

I asked to move rooms and was told no. Mine was right beside the restaurant bathroom, so I heard people coming and going throughout my stay. Its only window was tiny and looked into the dining room, which meant I couldn't open the blinds without diners seeing in. It was a very unpleasant welcome to Costa Rica.

We loved our three nights here. The rooms were really nice, the staff were amazing, and the location was perfect, close to everything in Monteverde.
