Sunshine Sanctuary

The place has a wonderfully calm, serene feel, and I can't say enough about it. It was the best stop of our 10-day Costa Rica trip through La Fortuna, Montezuma, Samara, and wherever else our Suzuki Jimny took us. We stayed three nights and it's an absolute must. We could walk from the hotel to the waterfalls on a private road, and went for morning swims completely alone before breakfast. Our room was immaculate, with hot showers. Breakfast was lovely each morning, and we took in the ocean view from the rooftop patio. Monkeys greeted us at our room balcony when we checked in, and the sunrises from our room were gorgeous. We didn't use the pool, but it looked clean and beautiful. Don't sleep on this place.

We booked two nights at first and ended up staying five because we loved it so much. Everything was very clean, and the rooms smelled wonderful. The views are amazing, and the breakfasts were both filling and delicious. There's even a private hanging bridge, and the butterfly garden is right beside the property and worth a visit. A 10/10 stay. There are cute little white-faced monkeys around, too, though they're crafty and may steal food or belongings.

The ocean views are beautiful, and I love the newly renovated rooms. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I'm looking forward to coming back. A great choice for Canadians heading south.

The owner, Anastasia, is so welcoming and kind, and we really enjoyed the delicious breakfast. We also loved seeing so many animals, swimming in the pool, and taking in the stunning view from our balcony. The road up is very bumpy, so drive slowly and be careful not to damage your rental car. We had a really enjoyable stay.
