Encantada Ocean Cottages

The beach chairs and hammocks were where I wanted to spend all day reading, right over the ocean. I shared a wonderful week here with friends for a yoga retreat. They had activities like surfing lessons, and the bar and restaurant served fantastic food and drinks, including lots of cocktails with fresh fruit. We had everything we needed and then some. It was an amazing experience, and I can’t say enough good things about the place.

The team, the atmosphere, and the whole stay were wonderful. By the second day, everyone knew my name, and their personal warmth made me feel welcome. The food was fresh, colorful, and beautifully prepared. I’ll always remember doing yoga to the waves with a soft breeze coming through. Macaws flew overhead, and the shoreline was dotted with sand dollars and colorful shells. The pool looked stunning among all the tropical plants and bright colors. Encantada Beach Cottages sits on miles of open, quiet beach that often felt like it belonged just to us, with lush gardens around the hotel. I loved waking up to the sunrise over the water and watching the golden sunsets. It’s a peaceful, beautiful place that left me feeling restored, and I can’t wait to come back.

The rooms were lovely, comfortable, and cleaned impeccably. There was so much to do and plenty of help planning activities, though staying put would have been easy too. Encantada Ocean Cottages in Costa Rica sits right on the water, with gorgeous views and the sound of waves all day, in a peaceful setting surrounded by Costa Rica’s natural beauty. The staff were caring from the moment we arrived, and their warmth and attention to detail made the stay memorable. The food was outstanding, fresh, and made from scratch.

There’s no shortage of ways to unwind here, from the yoga classes to lounging in a hammock in the ocean breeze. Lush greenery surrounds the property, and the restaurant by the water serves five-star meals. The friendly staff made the whole stay welcoming and fun. Steven, one of the bartenders, greeted us with a huge smile each day, and one time brought me a delicious frozen coffee. I can’t recommend a stay at Encantada enough if you’re visiting Costa Rica. It really is an enchanting experience.
