Pavones Point

We stayed from Monday to Thursday during the last week of January 2026, five of us in one unit. Two people shared each bedroom, and the fifth used an air mattress on the fold-out sofa. The master was very spacious, with its own bathroom and a large walk-out terazza facing the ocean. The second bedroom was also big, with two Juliette balconies off its doors/windows. The shared bathroom was right outside and worked fine. The roomy kitchen had a full-size fridge, electric stove, and enough pots, pans, and tableware for us. There was plenty of indoor seating, plus chairs at the kitchen island and on the bedroom terazza. The AC worked wonderfully in the heat. A washer/dryer was there too, though we didn't use it. The lap-pool was clean and warm, and the grounds were beautifully kept. It's a short walk to the beach, restaurants, and shops. The access road is long and bumpy, though some sections looked like they were being paved while maintenance was underway. On our second-last day the kitchen sink drain hose clamp fell off, but Veronica at reception and the maintenance crew fixed it quickly. We learned on our last morning that electricity and water work was scheduled from 7 am to noon, so they offered us a late checkout. We didn't need it, since we cooked and showered before 7 am and left early. The WiFi signal was weak enough that we couldn't watch TV in the bedroom, so repeaters would help. It was private, clean, uncrowded, and a lovely place to get away. Service was prompt, and Veronica was very pleasant.

Thanks for helping when I locked my keys in the car. The place looks amazing and sits right on the break. I'll definitely stay here next time.

Pavones is a quiet little town where you can relax and go for walks, and I liked that it was off the beaten path with few visitors. The drive from the highway to Golfito takes about an hour or so. The road alternates between good pavement and gravel, but there are no hills, and any car should manage without a 4x4. At Pavones Point, we found a fantastic home with quality interiors, good equipment, and great people managing it. It's across from the beach and within walking distance of places to eat and supermarkets. You can buy fresh fish from the fishermen too. We enjoyed some fresh tuna.

The property and location are awesome, but Mili and Kenneth are what made our stay excellent. They genuinely care about guests' needs and satisfaction, and the place is only as good as the people who look after it. We had a good stay, then their first class service made it great. We rented a brand new 4 wheeler from the resort, and Kenneth arranged a guide, came in on his day off, and joined us to translate. Mili also set up other activities that were awesome.
