Scott was a wonderful host, and the location and price were great. It was quiet and felt safe, with good restaurants in walking distance and a five minute walk to the beach. We also walked along the beach to the Whales Tail, about 45 minutes. The bed was the most comfortable I had in Costa Rica, and the A.C worked great. The room had a small fridge and kitchenette. The lovely, stocked outdoor kitchen had a fan, a great blender, and ice in the freezer. I highly recommend staying here.

Scott was kind about answering any questions and made us feel very welcome. The property felt secure, and parking was easy. Cooking was convenient with well stocked facilities, all the necessary utensils, and a few condiments. The location in Uvita was very good. We didn't use the pool, though it looked lovely. Only tiny complaint: the curtains were rather thin and let in light. Otherwise, excellent!

We had a great two-night stay in a calm, relaxing cabin in Bahia. It was fully equipped and better than some so-called 4* hotels we've stayed in Costa Rica. Everything was spotlessly clean, and we could cook in the outside Rancho. The clean pool had some cool lidos to relax on. We took the local bus from Quepos, which dropped us within an 8-minute walk. The Nationsl Park, Whales Tail, and several restaurants are easy to reach on foot. Booking directly with Scott was definitely a better deal. I can't recommend this place enough.

We crossed Costa Rica over a bit more than 3 weeks, and this was a perfect stay in Uvita. We planned for 2 nights and ended up staying a full week. Scott is a gorgeous, funny, kind, relaxed person. Loved the room, especially the bathroom, and everything else was lovely too: the surroundings, nice pool, beautiful vegetation, outside kitchen, his lovely dogs, and his warmth and hospitality. My friend and I felt at home there. It was just so relaxed and nice.
