Yethan House

Four days before our planned May stay, they messaged to ask if we could come on a different day. Since we were on a road trip, I obviously couldn’t change it. I had to find another place at a higher price because of the short notice. I’m sure they had a good reason, but it was definitely stressful for me.

The owners were incredibly helpful when my wife fell ill during our stay, and we really loved being at Yethan House. The rooms were very clean, and the pool and outdoor dining space were lovely. It’s also in a fantastic spot, with a short walk down to a quiet beach and beautiful sunsets. Strongly recommend!

The owner was amazing, and the hospitality was so good that I’ll absolutely be back. It’s a hostel kind of setup, with poolside seating, two shared kitchens, and four shared bathrooms. Some rooms have air conditioning, which is wonderful. The space itself is beautiful. A couple of things to know: parking is limited, so ask ahead about a spot, and the road can be a bit difficult. Since you’re in the jungle, bring earplugs and expect nature to wake you early. The owner uses WhatsApp and speaks English.

The jungle setting feels lovely even though you’re only a minute from the road. The rooms are clean and pleasant, in a family home with shared bathrooms, and the owner is super nice. I’d love to come back.
