Surf House Pavones

The peaceful feel of the house and the nature around it made for a great getaway. It’s cozy and comfortable, and the beach is only a short walk away, which works well for surfing or relaxing. We spent two weeks at Surf House Pavones and felt at home from the start. Ad and Moshe were so welcoming and made sure we had what we needed. We’d happily come back, and recommend it to surfers and anyone wanting to enjoy Costa Rica.

Andy and his crew were great the whole time, and I’d definitely recommend the place. It’s right in front of the wave and the main park, with a great room, AC, a perfect warm shower, and everything you need in Pavones. I just got back and already hope to return soon. Thanks for all the good moments, guys.

Fresh brewed coffee, bananas, and cookies from the hosts each morning were a nice touch. We had a lovely stay at Surf House, and Ad and Mosses were super hosts. The rooms were clean, with white sheets and good showers. It’s as close as you can get to Pavones point, and we rented surfboards right next door. We also met some amazing travelers in the common areas. Can’t wait to come back!

I could watch the waves from my room, since Surf House Pavones is the closest hotel to the legendary Pavones point break. I booked 8 days in the Octopus Room, then added another 8 on the day I arrived, after my first surf at the point. The fan, mattress, and air-conditioning were all great, and the Wi-Fi was strong enough for Zoom, movies, and browsing without trouble. Ad and Moshe made the stay feel special. They checked in regularly, asked if I wanted the room cleaned, answered my questions, and even provided an invigorating ice-cold ice bath. I’ll definitely return. Huge thanks to them for making me feel like part of the Surf House family!
