Las Brisas del Sur

Sylvain was a wonderful host. His advice and recommendations for places to visit and good restaurants added a lot to our stay. Brisas del Sur was comfortable and had everything we needed, including a pool that was especially nice for cooling down after a day out exploring. The beaches are only a few minutes away by car, which made the location ideal. We were absolutely delighted and highly recommend it for a relaxing, authentic Costa Rican stay.

We slept really well despite the lack of air conditioning, thanks to the steady cool mountain breeze. It was lovely to cook sometimes on the typical Costa Rican BBQ, then enjoy the peace and quiet and birdsong in the morning. Sylvain, one of the owners, was remarkably kind and helped us choose activities, beaches, and restaurants. The location is ideal, close to everything. The accommodation was spacious and clean, with a well-equipped kitchenette, and the pool was spotless and well maintained. If you want to immerse yourself in local life, this is a great fit. Highly recommend!

Sylvain, the owner, was very attentive and gave us helpful advice about restaurants, beaches, activities, and even fixing a flat tire. We didn’t meet his partner. We stayed four nights in cabin #1 as a family of five, and adjusted quickly to the small space. There were beds for everyone, though the table only seated four. The place was very clean, and the pool was beautiful and clean too. We were the only guests, so the property was peaceful. The neighbors are nearby, and their dogs barked all night. There’s also an excavation company on the other side, making some distant noise during the day, though we weren’t around much then.

Sylvain was so kind and always available, and he showed us a magnificent beach. He clearly puts a lot of heart into making sure guests have a memorable stay. We spent eight days at the lodge and thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s in an ideal location, and I recommend it 100%.
