Delfines del Golfo

I came on a school trip with some classmates and had an amazing time. Everyone was welcoming, and every meal I had, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, exceeded expectations. Everything felt homemade, from the food to the cabins. I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting Costa Rica.

It was noisy, damp all the time, and badly in need of updates and a good cleaning. We had no way to dry anything properly. The floor fan in our room didn't work, and switching off the ceiling light also switched off the ceiling fan. The AC blew right onto the bunk bed used by my two friends sharing the room, and we only got sheets, no blankets. We never got hot water during our stay, no matter how much we fiddled with the shower head heater :(

Friendly service and a great location for visiting the Golfo beaches and Corcovado park. The place was clean, tidy, and respectful of nature.

Doña Mari and Marvin were lovely to meet. They kept some of our luggage, prepared an early breakfast, and helped with laundry when we got back. I spent two nights here, one before and one after my three-day trek in Corcovado. The cabins are small but just right, and there are lovely shared spaces with a kitchen, bar, small above-ground pool, and beautiful yard. It's only a few steps from the center of La Palma, where the bus stops. I highly recommend it and hope to return soon.
