My partner and I wanted to stay close to the wilderness. The place is simple, the mattress is okay to sleep on, and the shower water is cold. But for an authentic stay with wonderful people, this is just right. It felt grounding, and our host, Stef Marin, was warm and dedicated. Everything was clean and well kept. We were thrilled with the jungle tour the host arranged. It felt like a real adventure, through primary forest with wildlife, lunch at a mountain hut run by a local woman, then a river walk on the way back. For a place in this kind of location, the price is unbeatable compared with similar accommodations. If you want jungle, go for the real thing.

We spent three nights here and felt so welcome. The owners were lovely and helpful. Our room had a bathroom and AC, and was nice and very clean. The kitchen was well equipped. They can arrange Corcovado tours and help with anything else. We really loved our stay.

The place is really clean and has lots of nature to enjoy. The hosts are friendly and kind, and the private activities they offer around Corcovado are probably the best priced in the area. We had a great stay and would come back anytime.

A lovely family runs this place in an authentic little Cost Rican town, and they were very kind and helpful. The rooms are clean with good beds, there's a well-equipped kitchen, and lovely dogs to play with. It's a good base for visiting Corcovado or hiking around the area on your own. Highly recommend!

We had a great one-night stay between a few days at Bolita Hostel and our hike from El Tigre Station into the park. The hosts were very friendly, and there was a really good kitchen and a nice terrace to relax on. We swam in the nearby river one afternoon, which was lovely. It's easy to reach from Puerto Jiminez by bus or taxi if you don't have your own transport.
