Nereus Retreats

The rooms are immaculate, modern, pretty, and very comfortable. The staff were so nice and thoughtful, and the food was delicious, healthy, and beautifully presented. I especially appreciated that it was all gluten-free. Nereus is a beautiful setting, with a gorgeous beach and lovely swimming right next door. The cared-for landscape is full of flowers and plants, and scarlet macaws fly overhead. We had the best week in Costa Rica, and Nereus was a special place to stay. Highly recommended!

Stuart and Jen are one-of-a-kind people, and their support staff took such good care of our group. Everyone felt looked after and very well fed. The food was fresh and bright, the rooms simple and clean, and the property full of life. I first came to Nereus for a yoga retreat in 2025, then decided to host my own retreat here in February 2026. I was blown away by how much care and effort they put in. From booking and organizing through arrival and departure, everything felt easy. I can't recommend Nereus enough for either a solo getaway or hosting a retreat. They really know what they're doing.

Monkeys, parrots, and toucans are right around you at Nereus, with the warm Pacific Ocean only a short path away. The Osa Peninsula is magnificent, and its variety of plants and animals is unlike anywhere I've been. Jen and Stuart are kind, compassionate hosts who genuinely help. They're also wonderful cooks, serving fresh, local, clean food, and they consistently go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Nereus may be the perfect setting for a yoga retreat. If you need a place to restore yourself, this is the real thing.

Stu and Jen made our whole week at Nereus special, from pickup to drop-off. The location is magical, and the facilities are clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. The food was so good and nourishing. I didn't want to leave! Our large group of friends is already planning another trip, so look for us in spring 2028.
