The hotel is close to downtown, the modern Marina, and buses to Manuel Antonio. The bus ride to the beach takes about 15-20 minutes and costs only $1. For inexpensive local food, try the Mercado Central's soda "Come Bien". The Marina has some cool American restaurants. We had some doubts after reading reviews, but ended up liking Quepo's Best Western very much. It's a little dated, though well maintained, with a tropical colonial feel. Room #224 was spacious and very clean. The shower had excellent hot and cold water pressure, and the AC worked perfectly. We could see the cute pool on one side and the road between the hotel and ocean walk (malecón) on the other. There was some traffic noise before bed, since motorbikes sometimes gather around the hotel casino/sports bar, but it wasn't outrageous. We're not especially light sleepers or sensitive to noise. Breakfast was better than expected. You choose from a nice menu, with eggs, toast, fruit, and coffee. Nothing extraordinary, but enough to get going. The lobby staff were helpful and kept our luggage for a few hours. We recommend it! :) P&J

The location by the beach was beautiful, and the main shopping area is right there, so it’s easy to spend time nearby. There’s also a fantastic coffee shop close by. Our rooms were very clean, and the kids loved the pool. Having an ice cream shop at the entrance was a fun extra. Breakfast was disappointing and well below what we expected. The showers felt dated, and a lot of water went to waste every time I showered.

There are some good places to eat nearby, and the hotel itself is nice. But I had cash and clothes stolen from my room through the cleaning service. The same will probably happen if you stay here. If you don't want people going through your things, I'd definitely go somewhere else.

I've stayed here three times. The rooms are nice and clean, the pool area is nice, and the staff are friendly and speak American English. The problem is the noise. Motorcycles race on the streets right below, near the casino, and it gets very loud.
