The views over the water and town are awesome, especially from some of the balconies. It’s a hidden gem for the right traveler, though the steep, rough climb up the hill can be a challenge. Even some regular taxi drivers hesitate to take on those inclines. Still, it’s worth it if it suits you.

The apartment itself was a decent size, with two bedrooms, working AC, and a clean, updated bathroom. The beds were just okay, and the long, narrow balcony was hardly usable. There wasn’t much close by, either. We left early and found another hotel because of the road and the construction noise starting at 7 a.m. The way up is very rough, steep, unpaved, and rocky, with big bumps. You’d want an SUV with 4WD to drive it comfortably. I’d read other reviews and asked the hotel about the road beforehand, but was assured it had been fixed. It hadn’t. Steep roads are common around MA, sure, but I’d choose one that’s paved. I can’t recommend staying here.

Michelle, who’s in charge, was very accommodating and quick to respond. There isn’t a hotel reception area. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, basically two-bedroom apartments with full kitchens and comfortable beds. We had a balcony overlooking town, with a glimpse of the beach. It’s within walking distance of town, though the hike back up to the hotel is a lot. It’s ideal if you have a rental car.

The sea view is great, and the rooms are quite nice and well equipped. It’s very close to town and the supermarket, but access can be tricky since not every car can make it there. If you don’t mind walking down the hill, about 5-10 minutes, it’s fine. The WiFi isn’t the best, though it works if you’re looking to spend less time on screens.
