Good Life Lodge

Isa was fantastic and took care of everything, including ideas for places to go and things to do. Good Life Lodge is only a two-minute walk from a stunning beach, and the rooms are spacious and nice, with great A/C. Breakfast was healthy and delicious. I’ve just finished an amazing six-day holiday here and highly recommend it. Samara is a great town, with plenty to do, from surfing and beach volleyball to ATV rides and day trips to other beaches and towns like Nosara. This hotel is a gem if you want to see what Costa Rica has to offer.

The staff are friendly and helpful, and Isa (sp?) can sort out just about anything locally. She arranged an ATV tour, surf lessons, a sunset boat tour, beach yoga, and a BBQ on the beach for us. Breakfasts were fantastic, with local fruit, yoghurt, granola, eggs, rice and beans. We spent five nights at Good Life Lodge and loved Samara. The lodge is right in the middle of everything: go 100m right from the front gate for town, cafes, and shops, including an outstanding Melehu coffee shop, or 200m left to Las Olas on the beach for food and drinks. The rooms are clean, stylish, and have what you need. I stayed in a hotel room, which was great, and also saw inside the Casa, which looked really nice. You won’t be disappointed.

We spent most of our time at the beach, just a two-minute walk away, but the lovely grounds were worth enjoying too. I liked the outdoor shower and cool pool, and our rooms were spacious and comfortable. After traveling elsewhere in CR and putting up with cold, weak showers with low pressure, the endless hot water and strong pressure here were a real treat. Our veranda had a lounger and a table with chairs, just right for breakfast and coffee. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly and attentive. We had a rental car and found plenty of parking, but once you’re here a car isn’t needed since everything is walkable. Good Life Lodge was easy to find, and we’ll definitely return.

Good Life Lodge is a lovely little oasis in the heart of Samara, with the beach just steps away and great restaurants, shops, yoga, and fitness studios all around. The beds are super comfortable, the rooms and bathrooms are spacious and well appointed, and the staff are awesome. You can relax by the little pool or on your deck. Breakfast was delicious, with healthy options available. We loved our stay and will be back!
