La Flor de Coco

I left after one night and moved elsewhere. For $110 a night, the room was unbelievably basic: old, cheap furniture, no fridge, and no way to make tea or coffee. The owner or manager actually told me to go into town if I wanted coffee. The bathroom smelled terrible and was full of mosquitoes. The pool was nice, but when I tried to sit by it, the chair was broken. That gives you the idea of the place.

The owners were friendly and helpful, and the location is great, near both the beach and stores. The Indian restaurant on site is a little pricey, but it was the best Indian food I've eaten. Families are welcome!

I stayed at Flor de Coco for just over a month and would happily come back. My studio suite was tiny, but it had everything I needed, and the layout made it feel bigger. I enjoyed the covered shared space for afternoon breezes and rainy-day time with others. Downstairs, there's a well-kept pool with loungers and other seating. The people there were quick to help and wanted me to feel comfortable and happy in my space, and I certainly did.

Great location near the beach, and the rooms were nice.
