Costa Rica Marriott Hotel Hacienda Belen

The gardens at Hacienda Belen are beautiful, and I really enjoyed strolling around the grounds. Breakfast was the highlight of each day. Antonio, the cook, makes amazing food, and he kindly found corn tortillas for me since I can’t eat much wheat. Jeffrey was wonderful too. He always remembered my almond milk and taught me about Costa Rican food. If you get the chance, I highly recommend trying the Budin cake.

The grounds are gorgeous, with lush plants and fruit and vegetables grown sustainably on site and used by the hotel. There are two pools, a jacuzzi, a kids’ playground, a huge driving range for golfers, and mountain views. You can choose from five restaurants, including steak and sushi, plus a sports bar with lots of TVs and a 24/7 cafe with fancy desserts. The Marriott property is stunning from the moment you arrive. Attentive staff, careful details, and the overall atmosphere make it feel world class.

The gentleman who checked us in went above and beyond, and the service was perfect throughout. From driving in to heading out, we had such a pleasant stay. The hotel is gorgeous and has a historic feel. If you’re beginning or ending a trip in Costa Rica, I’d highly recommend staying here. What a wonderful experience.

We had a short but enjoyable stay at this lovely hotel near the airport. Our flight got in early, and the helpful staff let us check in around 9:30, which we really appreciated. The pool view room was clean, modern, and great. The grounds were nice to walk around, with signs and statues of local animals, plus a few bits about coffee history. The food was consistently good at both the cafe and restaurant. I’d recommend adding executive lounge access, which includes breakfast.
