Homewood Suites By Hilton Cariari San Jose

The room was spacious, with a large comfortable bed, a generously sized bathroom, and a small kitchenette. I also appreciated the wood or wood-look flooring, since it feels cleaner and is easier to maintain than wall-to-wall carpet. There’s an area rug, but no carpeting throughout the room. The hotel feels brand new, with a simple, understated style and clean, minimalist feel. Prices are a little higher than they used to be and aren’t inexpensive. A solid choice if you want space and a fresh, well-kept place.

The shuttle showed up at the airport on the half hour, just as the resort said. The room was clean and well equipped, with a lovely shower and a comfortable bed. We had dinner there too, and the food was good at reasonable prices. Breakfast was excellent, enough that I went both mornings even though I usually skip hotel “free breakfast” offers. The hotel is fairly new and feels that way. Come here if you’re spending time in San Jose. Keep it up, Homewood, and I’ll be back when I’m in CR. Pura Vida!! The staff were outstanding, helpful, and professional. The room was nicely furnished and almost new, with a mini kitchen, large fridge, and microwave, and it can accommodate up to six people, which is handy for bigger families. The buffet breakfast was fairly good and included vegan milk and other options. I liked the spacious lobby and lounge areas, pleasant decor, small saltwater pool, and free parking. The main downside was the airport shuttle. It’s free, but runs only once an hour even though the hotel is just 7 km away. There aren’t enough shuttles.

The room was spacious and very clean, and we appreciated the secure parking and how close the hotel is to the airport. Breakfast could have offered more and better choices, but we still loved our stay and would return.
