The bungalows have a creative design, including bathrooms that open both indoors and out, and the decor feels original. Grounds are well maintained, with a jungle atmosphere, some wildlife, and modern conveniences. The people working there were attentive and extremely friendly. Breakfast was excellent, and dinner was good, though the menu was a bit limited. A couple of small drawbacks: there are no beach chairs or umbrellas to borrow, and the directions to the property could be clearer. We enjoyed our stay.

Sitting on the patio and listening to birds and monkeys was so peaceful, with the jungle right outside our room. The views are amazing, especially at sunset. The food was great, and the staff were friendly and very helpful. They made our stay feel special.

We booked five nights and left after just one. There were ants all over the room, including the bed, our luggage, the walls, the curtains, and even coming out of the air conditioning. We’d already spent more than two weeks traveling around Costa Rica and were used to insects, but this was extreme. When we brought it up in person and through Booking, staff brushed it off as normal for the area. They offered no fix, another room, or goodwill. The arrival felt wrong from the start: no proper welcome, a deserted feeling at the hotel, and very little communication. When we spoke with the front desk later, they were rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. The restaurant was also closed the day we arrived, and nobody had told us ahead of time. The breakfast was good and the surroundings beautiful, but the experience didn’t come close to what an “Exceptional” rating led us to expect. I wouldn’t recommend staying here for several nights.

The care from the staff made this stay stand out. Lizzy handled daytime operations with so much cheer and friendliness, while Ricardo made sure our evenings were relaxed and pleasant. The whole team was warm and attentive, and their hospitality felt personal. We stayed in a private Luna Azul Bungalow, tucked into the surrounding tropical jungle. It had a terrace and outdoor shower where we could enjoy the natural setting throughout the day. The infinity pool is beautiful too, with far-off ocean views when the sky is clear. The property sits on a quiet, remote hillside above the Pacific, a peaceful spot to switch off. Breakfast was generous and made with fresh local ingredients, well beyond ordinary hotel food. We also had sunset cocktails at the bar and dessert later, while getting to know Ricardo. The food was outstanding. Our room was comfortable and private, and we loved the whole experience. Whether you’re after nearby waves, a jungle hike, or time by the pool, it’s a lovely boutique option for couples or families. Pura Vida!

We saw plenty of wildlife while we were there, including a Caoti, which I’d never seen before. The rooms were nice, and the bed was the best we slept in during our two and a half weeks away. Dinner was tasty and wonderful too. It’s a lovely, quiet hideaway partway up the hill, with clean rooms and great food and service. The nearby beaches are quite deserted, so it’s nice to relax by the pool. Jorge, thanks for the kind, excellent service. It was also nice meeting Olivier, the new owner from Belgium. Good luck with your real estate venture there!
