We saw toucans while having breakfast on our last morning. We were told they fly there often. Each morning, our hosts made us breakfast with fresh fruit from their garden, coffee, eggs, toast, and more. The setting at Tiriguro Lodge was beautiful, and our exceptionally clean room made us feel comfortable. The best part was our hosts, Didier and Myriam. They were kind, gracious, and helpful. I highly recommend this lodging.

The proprietors are friendly, the accommodations are comfortable, and breakfast is light and fresh. It has a feel somewhere between a "cabina" and an "Airbnb." The place is small and far removed, and the road there is lousy.

The place has closed and is no longer open for business, though the website still accepts bookings.
