Cabañas Green House

We enjoyed the food at the restaurant, and our room was clean with a nice balcony facing the surrounding nature. The staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our two-night stay. The only small downside was traffic noise from the main road right beside the place.

We only stayed one night this time, but Cabanas Greeen House felt like a great mix of Costa Rica's culture and nature. Cesar and his family were very welcoming, and the former coffee plantation makes a comfortable base for San Vito, Estation la Bologica (Wilson Gardens), Las Tables, and parts of La Amistad. We're already looking forward to coming back and exploring more.

We loved being able to sit outside in the dining area at night, read, and listen to the geckos. The food was delicious, the bedding was great, and everyone was so nice. The cabin was comfortable, with hot water in the shower, which is a rare treat when you have long hair and want to wash it. There were birds all around the forest by the spring and near the cabins, and agouti came to feed at night. The cats sometimes came onto our balcony and were there to pet. Talking with Cesar about restoring the old coffee farm into cabins and tropical hardwood forest was such fun. We plan to return as often as we can. Thank you so much!

We found this to be the best place of our 10-day trip. The rooms were spotless, with an upscale feel that still seemed natural, and the restaurant was fantastic, offering traditional Costa Rican dishes along with more familiar options. The owners speak English, as does their daughter, who studied it at university. San Vito is a gem, just five minutes down the road, and there are wonderful parks nearby. I can't wait to return next year!
