Parador Nature Resort and Spa

We had a really good stay here. The hotel sits up on a hill, so it's a little out of the way, though that seems to come with the location. We didn't take the shuttle, but it's available for guests. Around the grounds we spotted nearly all the famous Costa Rican animals, including sloths, Quetzal, Scarlett Macaw, and others, which alone felt worth the price. The staff were professional and always willing to help, and the pools, gym, and spa were in excellent shape. We ate at all the restaurants and tried the bar. The food was about average, while the decor and service were excellent.

The staff made our first wedding anniversary feel so special, and took care of us the whole time. Hunt was especially wonderful. He quietly helped my husband arrange a surprise in our room, answered all our questions, and seemed to know what we needed before we did. Everyone we met was friendly and hardworking, which is what really sets this place apart for me. The room was lovely, the view was stunning, and the resort felt like paradise. We had a perfect stay at Parador, and when we're back in Costa Rica we'll absolutely stay here again. I'd recommend it to anyone.

We had such a good family week at Parador Resort, and we'd recommend it to anyone heading to Costa Rica. The included breakfast buffet was a great start to the day, and the food in general was excellent. The pools were spotless, with food and cocktails available, and my wife and I both enjoyed our spa massages. Kids will love the place too, especially the little surprises the housekeepers leave when they service the rooms. We even had monkeys come right up to our patio, plus sloths in the trees, tropical birds, and reptiles. The resort itself is beautiful, and everyone from check-in through check-out was warm, joyful, helpful, professional, and hospitable. There are American sports on at the pool bar and the restaurant bar. Pura Vida, we'll be back.

We found it a lovely place to unwind. The grounds are spacious, the setting is idyllic, and there's a great view of the sea with tropical forest all around. We saw Macaws, sloths, capucin monkeys, and plenty more. Our room was comfortable, with good air conditioning and a nice view. There are pools for adults and children, plus a spa, games room, and crazy golf. The staff were friendly, attentive, and excellent, and we enjoyed all the food from both the restaurant and the bars.
