Betty’s cooking was a highlight every time. We loved the chicken curry, paella, eggplant lasagna, gallo pinto, arepas, guanabana en leche, salchichón, and fajitas. Our daughter’s favorite was Betty’s homemade Oreo ice cream, better than anything we could have bought. Eduardo and Betty have made a paradise within a paradise. The well-kept grounds are full of native plants and wildlife, and we even saw a sloth in the garden on our last day. The glass-enclosed guest space feels peaceful among all the greenery, especially when it rains. Eduardo knows the area so well and can shape a memorable visit around your interests if you arrive without a plan. We loved the coffee tour, and our six-year-old had fun roasting and grinding beans, then spent hours exploring the swings and gardens. Eduardo is an artist and a gracious host, and took lovely framed photos of our family. We already miss the place and will treasure the memories. Muchas gracias, Eduardo, Betty, and Daniel!

Hummingbirds flying around the house were our favorite part. There’s so much more to enjoy here than just a bedroom. Fresh fruit grows all around, and the hosts kindly let us sample whatever we liked, anytime. You can hear birds, the nearby river, and wind moving through the trees, and there’s access to the river on the property. The main bedroom sits above the house, with glass walls and 369 views of the surrounding nature. The hosting couple were among the kindest people we met in Costa Rica. You’re surrounded by nature while still only a few minutes from the city. Highly recommend staying here.

A funky, quirky place, but wonderful. The upstairs room is cool and has lovely views, and guests can use the kitchen and living and dining room downstairs. At 5000 feet, the climate is delightful, and it’s very convenient for the airport. Great hosts.

A friendly host shared tips on local activities and good restaurants, and I’d happily stay here again. The comfortable, clean accommodation made for a very enjoyable visit. It’s a beautiful flower and coffee farm, and we stayed here while visiting Costa Rica.
