Chira Glamping Resort Monteverde

We stayed for three nights in the family dome with our family of five and wished we could have stayed longer. The kids, ages 5, 8, and 11, loved the climbing wall, slide, and piano, and the beds were comfortable. Watching the sun go down from our private deck hot tub was perfect. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious, and the breakfast staff were kind and attentive. Emel at the front desk and concierge was welcoming and very helpful. The views, amenities, and staff at Chira were all phenomenal. We’d love to come back someday.

The night sky was super clear during our stay, so we got to do some stargazing, and it was so quiet and peaceful. The tents, or yurts, were amazing, and we loved the private hot tub and outdoor shower looking out over the canopy. The staff were kind and helpful, and the whole stay was a lot of fun. We’d love to return. I also highly recommend booking a sunset dinner reservation in advance at the San Lucas treetop dining experience on the property.

We stayed at Chira for our honeymoon and the whole experience was so special. The rooms were comfortable and very clean, and the views were stunning. Emel was incredibly kind and available for all our questions. We didn’t eat at San Lucas, but had drinks there both nights, and they were delicious. The team there was wonderful too. The property sits at the top of a hill, which gives it those great views, but without a car be prepared for the walk up and down, since there are no sidewalks. Emel arranged a ride back for us one night, which we really appreciated. We highly recommend staying here.

We could only spend our first night in Costa Rica here because there weren’t more nights available, but my wife, our two kids, and I wished we could have stayed longer. From the welcoming check-in and complimentary drinks to the friendly, helpful staff and tour of our unique, immaculate private deck and yurt, it was a great stay. The kids wanted to stay forever. Breakfast was included and delicious, too. The front desk quickly booked some excellent activities for us when we arrived and were easy to reach on WhatsApp. We’d absolutely return and highly recommend it.
