Finca Sunset Monteverde

The sunset here was magical, and we wished we’d booked more than one night. The rental was among the cleanest places we’ve stayed. There’s also a lovely trail around the property, with hanging bridges and a lookout. We’d happily come back.

We stayed in Casa Bosque and loved having the mountain view and a spot for morning coffee while toucans passed by. Alex and Andrea were wonderful hosts, full of tour suggestions if you contact them ahead of time, and Alex can take you out himself. There’s a short walk to another viewpoint, plus trails and a farm to explore, so leave some time to wander. They even took care of our laundry. Beautiful place, gracious and knowledgeable hosts. We’ll stay here again next time we visit. Pura vida!

The views are incredible. Sitting on the high deck by the living room and watching birds and butterflies in the trees was amazing. The location is beautiful too.

We spent four nights here and could easily have stayed longer. The accommodation is modern, comfortable, spotless, and had everything we needed. The terraces were a highlight, with great views at the back and a cloud forest feel from the side. You do hear the forest and get some critters, which is part of why we came to Monteverde. Such a beautiful place. We travelled around Costa Rica for three weeks, and if we return, we’d divide our time between here and Samara, with nowhere else on the itinerary.
