Cabinas Vista Al Golfo - Hostel

The outside looked scary, and there’s no secured parking. Inside, though, the dated facility had a room that looked newly renovated and was fully updated. There’s no AC, but the weather was cool. The price is key here, and it felt worth it, even with a firm mattress. I was still waiting to try the breakfast when I checked out in the morning.

The reception staff were friendly and helped book tours and arrange everything. Breakfast was good, and the kitchen was fine for making a simple meal. The shared bathroom worked for us, and the space was clean. The popcorn machine was a nice extra, though the woman leading breakfast staff could have been warmer. She didn’t seem like a morning person. Our room was right beside the road, and the motorbikes were very noisy. Someone even used a chainsaw at 3AM?! It was fine value for money overall, but I wouldn’t choose a road-facing room again.

I had a really good time here. The hostel’s common space and view are probably the best part, and the swinging chairs were a fun bonus. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and guests could use the kitchen during the day.

The room was cozy, and the patio had a great view over the town and mountains. My wife and I really enjoyed staying here. We knew it was a budget hotel, so weren’t expecting anything luxurious, but it covered everything we needed.
