Don Jons Lodge -Surf & Yoga

It's a quieter hostel than most I've stayed in, and I slept much more easily here. There was some coming and going at night, though. I worked eight hours a day and the Wi-Fi handled call after call to the USA just fine. Don Jon's is close to the beach and lots of restaurants, so I never needed to rent a quad or bike and could walk everywhere. I also met tons of amazing people. Jon, his mother, and the rest of the staff were incredibly kind and looked after me so well. I'll absolutely stay here again on my next visit.

Don Jon’s has a relaxed but fun feel, and I really appreciated all the work that goes into the nightly events. The common area has lots of comfortable places to cowork, plus plenty of hammocks to relax in. The yoga classes work for all skill levels, and the teachers are great. My dorm was comfortable, and the location is fantastic: a five-minute walk to the beach, beside lots of good coffee shops, restaurants, and stores. This was the best hostel stay I've had, not just in Costa Rica, but anywhere. It's family owned by the kindest, most welcoming people, and the community really comes through. Thanks, Jon and Adrianna. You made my stay amazing. I'll definitely be back later this year. 100/10, couldn't recommend Don Jon’s enough.

Don Jon is the best, Pura Vida to the Max. I'm so glad this jungle oasis exists, just a block from world-class surf. Santa Teresa is special, and this place feels like paradise. Don will help point you toward whatever you need. Let time slow down and forget your worries! If you don't like it here, something's wrong with you!

Our private lodge was super cozy and got cleaned every day. There's a shared kitchen for cooking and lots of hammocks for relaxing. We stayed six nights and had a really nice time. Over Christmas, the hostel put on a dinner for all the guests, which was amazing. I'd recommend don lodge :D
