The people here made the stay feel special. Everyone was so welcoming, and the restaurant and shared spaces had a real community feel. We got to know other guests and made some lovely connections. Our room was clean and quiet, apart from the very entertaining howler monkeys. We watched lots of them hanging around the mango tree beside our room. Cabinas Las Olas is also brilliantly located, an easy walk to the beach, restaurants, and little shops. The sunsets were magical too. We absolutely loved it, and we’ll be back. Already miss everyone!

We had a great stay and would come back. There’s lots of wildlife to watch, including howler monkeys, and the hospitality was excellent. The menu has plenty of choice, and there’s a surf shop too. The rustic spot sits in the shade of the forest, right by the restaurant and bar. From there, a walking bridge through the mangroves leads to the beach.

Ryan was so generous and kind, and was always there to answer our questions. We loved the clean, comfortable rooms and the gorgeous grounds at Cabinas Las Olas. A rustic boardwalk takes you through to a stunning beach, where we had a brilliant day with a rented surfboard. The food was delicious, and the place felt safe and well kept. There are darts, ping pong, and other games by the restaurant too. Such a magical spot in Playa Avellanas. We’d happily stay again!

Memo helped us book at the last minute, and the service was great. The hotel has the only private boardwalk to a beautiful beach, plus a surf school and shop. Our room was basic, clean, and very quiet except for the monkeys calling out. We had a delicious typical CR breakfast, and the service and attention were good.

Pura Vida 🤙🏼🇨🇷 The beach break has fun waves for all skill levels, and this is also an incredible fishing destination. You can arrange a charter by asking the restaurant crew, catch your own Tuna, and have the kitchen prepare it. The location is ideal for getting out into nature and enjoying the beach, with a great restaurant on site and an amazing walkway across the mangroves.
