The place was gorgeous, full of lush trees, and charming enough to feel like a small boutique hotel. We rented both the main house and the four-unit outside for our large group of friends and family, staying the week before our wedding in Tamarindo last August. Everything was well maintained, and staff cleaned daily. A security guard came each night, and the receptionist was wonderful about arranging and booking tours for our group. They also helped with laundry and gave us a free breakfast on our wedding day. Our host responded quickly and even arranged to have door bottoms installed after we had trouble with bugs. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.

The pool and gardens are lovely, and breakfast was tasty. It’s a nice place for the price, with a comfortable room and a great location. The main issues were noise from people walking upstairs and sunlight coming in at 6 am through windows without curtains. The bed and linens were full of static, too. There was also a communication mix-up, so we had to wait a few minutes for the guard to let us in at midnight. Still a decent value.

Guard Jose was really kind, and we loved the delicious traditional breakfast. The place had the feel of a Spanish villa and comfortably fit all nine of us. One of the best Airbnb options in Tamarindo.

My partner and I had the best honeymoon weekend here. We swam every day, and the included breakfast had lots of choices and was delicious. The hotel is clean and pretty, with town an easy walk away. Staff were helpful and accommodating. Casa Leona did not disappoint.

It was so pleasant having two well-designed pools in separate areas, and we could use both, which kept us at the hotel longer than on any other trip. We also enjoyed a cat's company whenever we ate outside, and watched howler monkeys trying to colonize a huge tree. The bed and breakfast is well maintained and offers a quiet spot away from the noise and crowds on the beach avenue.
