Dreamsea Surf Camp

The 7am yoga was a highlight for me. Getting a morning stretch while surrounded by nature is something I think everyone should experience. Dreamsea tamarindo surf camp is also a great spot to learn surfing, with excellent teachers and staff and volunteers who really make the stay. I’d definitely recommend visiting. It’s a great time with wonderful people in Costa Rica.

This was my second time at Dreamsea, and I came back for the Dreamsea sonica Music festival. My accommodation came with five surf lessons for the week, and learning with Mariano was a real highlight. He’s an incredible teacher. He also invited me to go with him to Playa flamingo for a cliff jump with some of his Homies, which ended up being one of the best parts of the trip. The festival, production, and camp atmosphere were incredible. As a DJ, I loved hearing the function one sound system tuned for the camp environment on BOTH stages. It was a treat for my ears. The DJ selection for the lineup and preforming arts were incredible too. Grace, the camp host, was such a blessing. She was there during my last stay, so it was lovely to see a familiar face again. I can’t recommend this place enough and hope I can come back soon.

I left wishing I didn’t have to go, and with my expectations for future destinations way higher. Dreamsea Surf Camp in Tamarindo was a dream, honestly like a movie, and everything exceeded what I expected: the surf lessons, people, food, and energy. There are so many adventures here I don’t want to spoil them. If you’re thinking of going, DO IT. The welcoming, positive atmosphere comes from the staff too. Grace at reception was genuinely caring and helpful, and made everything easy so I didn’t have to stress. Danny served drinks at the bar, and both the drinks and his vibe were great. I’d absolutely recommend the place if you want to meet people and explore somewhere new. I loved it, but eventually had to come back to reality and head home.

I came solo and left with a bunch of new friends and memories I won’t forget. It felt like a little community, with an unreal, super social vibe and just the right mix of relaxing and having fun. Grace at reception was kind, welcoming, and helpful from the moment I arrived. Danny at the bar was iconic, with great drinks, great energy, and a smile for everyone. I had the best time and would definitely go back. If you’re thinking about booking, just do it.
