Epic Tamarindo Boutique Hotel

We spent our honeymoon here on our first visit to Tamarindo, choosing epic for the location and newly designed suites. The boutique feel made the stay personal, and the team went above and beyond with their hospitality. They welcomed us with a few thoughtful touches in the room. Breakfast was included each morning, and the chef made a different dish every day, sometimes with a Costa Rican twist. Arnold and his team really made the trip memorable, with excellent ideas for activities and restaurants nearby, plus suggestions for our next stop. We liked being able to explore places outside Tamarindo from here. A rental car made getting around easier for us, though we could also take Uber to and from dinner each night easily and safely. We’d highly recommend this hotel and Arnold’s team.

Epic Tamarindo was a wonderful, quiet place to stay outside Tamarindo, with easy access to several beaches and Liberia airport. Arnold and Emma looked after us so well, and breakfast was spot-on every morning. We also loved seeing the wildlife around the property, including peacocks, iguanas, and howler monkeys. Highly recommend!

Arno and his team made this place a huge surprise for me. They were incredibly kind and helpful, and the service went far beyond what I expected, whether you’re easygoing or super picky. The location works well if you have a car, with beaches around the area about 15-30 minutes away. Arno can also arrange a taxi, help book restaurants, and suggest things to do. They really deliver. Well done, EPIC.

The staff, especially Arnold, made this such a positive stay. He was attentive and helpful the whole time, and his food and restaurant suggestions were exactly what we wanted. We were there for two weeks with our six-month-old and had an incredible time. The modern property is gorgeous and thoughtfully laid out on a tree-covered hill, where we spotted wildlife as well as the peacocks and resident cat. Breakfast was excellent every morning, and the private chef dinner was personal, delicious, and worth booking. We’d happily come back.
