A lovely stay with several accommodation options. There’s great golf and tennis, stables, and four beaches.

We had a great time here. Our villa was comfortable and felt more like a home than a beach villa. I also loved all the nature around us, with large areas of jungle and forest and beautiful mountain bike trails. The beach club sits right in front of a really good right point break.

The four-bedroom villa was beautiful, and we stayed for five days close to the pool. The listing photos made it look like the pool was just outside the patio door, but it was actually a short walk away. One room’s AC stopped working, and they came to fix it the next day, when it was around 100 degrees. The freezer ice makers also didn’t work, so instead of repairing them, they brought bags of ice and put them on the freezer shelf. With the freezer being opened and closed so often, the glass shelf broke. It wasn’t our fault, and it happened while the cleaning lady was there. We reported it right away but were charged about $350 for the glass. If the ice maker had been fixed, we wouldn’t have been opening the freezer all day for ice, and the shelf wouldn’t have broken. I’d be cautious about how they decide to charge extra fees.

We loved our stay at Hacienda Pinilla and will definitely be back. It’s a wonderful development, with beautiful beaches, great bike and horse trails, and golf. We brought our 17-month-old, and she did great in the home.
