Ocho Artisan Bungalows - Adults only

I could keep going, but words can’t describe how it felt to stay here. We CANNOT wait to come back again and again! 💫❤️☀️ Every detail in the bungalow and across the property felt intentional, and you could sense all the work and love as we wandered around. We were greeted so warmly by Ilse and Jasmine, and “Popeye” brought our bags to bungalow #1. Kenya, Soja, and Luca gave superb service, and Gio made our Anniversary dinner special before checking in on us throughout the stay. Miya followed up while we planned and helped coordinate excursions. We also met the owners, Shon and Mika, who were both gracious and genuine. From top to bottom, the place is magical and the service is top notch.

The only disappointment was leaving our new friends to head back to a cold winter. We’ll be back! We spent five nights at Ocho for our 25th wedding anniversary, in bungalow 7, just steps from the pool and half a minute from a beautiful, clean beach. The spot is arguably the best part of the beach and an easy walk to everything in town. We like walking, but they can arrange a golf cart, which seems to be the popular way to get around. The trees and foliage came alive with birds and sometimes howler monkeys at dawn. Iguanas occasionally strolled by the pool too. Having wildlife right there made it feel like a tropical paradise instead of a sterile hotel. Ilse is a tireless sweetheart, and Sue and the rest of the staff made everything welcoming and easy. They quickly arranged dinner reservations and excursions, plus pickup and the airport return. The service felt first class, friendly, and caring. The beach club also takes great care of you with drinks, snacks, and excellent dinners if you don’t want to leave the beach.

The food was 10/10, and this was a top-notch experience, easily worth the money. I’ve been to lots of places around the world, and this is hands-down the best experience I’ve had. It’s an adult-only “resort,” but not a restaurant, right on the beach and close to town. They accommodate anything you could ask for. I’d give it 100 stars if I could, and we’ll be back with more friends and family. Pablo was so attentive and made us feel like we were the most important part of his day. Ilse kept everything managed and comfortable, making us feel at home, safe, and cared for. Everything about the stay was outstanding.

We stayed five nights in a bungalow for my husband's 40th birthday, and it was gorgeous. They even decorated the room as a surprise for his big day. The surrounding plants made it feel as if we were tucked away in the jungle, a real escape. Our room was clean and felt safe, with a comfortable bed, delicious coffee, and lots of toiletries, including soap, shampoo and conditioner, and make-up remover. The staff, including Ilse, Sue, Giovanni, Lordes, Vlad, and others whose names we can’t remember, were friendly, fun, and accommodating. Nobody was pushy; the whole place felt relaxed. The signature welcome drink was the best cocktail I’ve ever had. Breakfast and coffee were amazing, and the views while eating were outstanding. I absolutely recommend staying here and would love to return. We’ll tell everyone we know about it!
