I accidentally ended up buying three bottles of champagne at $120 each because the colones-to-dollars conversion was explained poorly. We’d already paid before realizing what had happened. I immediately asked to return the bottles and get the card charge refunded, but they refused and told us to speak with the boss the next day. It felt like they were hoping we wouldn’t come back. Ridiculous.

My wife bought wine there and only afterward noticed we’d been charged twice. This is a dishonest business, and we’re going to dispute the charge.

Be careful to understand the price before paying. Our clerk led us into a purchase costing over $300, then said he couldn’t refund it without his manager, John, being there. We never left the store, the items were unopened, and we were willing to work out a reasonable solution. Instead, he pressured us to sign a receipt even though we were unhappy. These business practices felt extremely unprofessional and unethical.

We made a purchase by mistake and tried right away to exchange or return it before leaving. They wouldn’t let us exchange it for what we wanted or reverse the credit card transaction. We’d had a very pleasant, professional conversation with them about the misunderstanding, but they still refused. The business practices seem shady.

Felicita helped me yesterday and was so nice. The customer service was great, highly recommend that everyone in Tama go there! She’s great every time.
