The house is a lovely little oasis for a big group. We came with four kids and seven adults, and everyone had their own room with an ensuite. The deck, kitchen, eating area, and pool worked really well for all of us. The kids, and the adults too, spent hours splashing around the pool and its mini water slide. There were games, hammocks, and a chill-out and yoga area as well. We made breakfast most days and prepared lunch and snacks while the kids played, then went into town for dinner. The beach was a great way to spend time and was the same distance from the house. We saw monkeys and several other animals on the property, and loved having them around. The resident kitty who hangs out outside was the sweetest. Rooms were very clean, and housekeeping brought fresh towels every few days. It’s about a 10 minute walk from the main area, without sidewalks, and the road is quite dark at night, so keep that in mind. We ended up renting a golf cart to take the kids around and pick up groceries. Jesslyn helped arrange everything, which made the vacation stress free.

Across all the rental places I’ve tried in Costa Rica, from a couple of dollars a night to stays costing $1000+/night, this has been my best experience. It can be hit or miss whether a place matches what you expected, but here the description, pictures, and amenities all matched. The host was amazing, too. They made everything simple and helped with all my questions. It was clear throughout my stay that they really wanted guests to enjoy themselves. I can’t express how satisfied I was.

I loved the common areas, where it was easy to meet guests from the other five rooms, and I felt I made friendships with several of them. My own room was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was fresh and delicious every morning, with gallo pinto, fruit, cereal, and more. The pool was a relaxing spot to practice yoga nearby. Reception were friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. They shared lots of restaurant and day trip recommendations and helped me arrange tours and excursions. I couldn’t have asked for a better time in Tamarindo, and I can’t wait to return to Sirena Serena!

The owners and front desk staff were wonderful and put together a full package for us, including existing, surf lessons, and bike rentals. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast each morning, and town and the beach were just a quick walk or bike ride away. We had a great stay and would definitely come back!

We were welcomed with a drink, which made a lovely first impression. I spent time relaxing and doing yoga by the pool, and there are lots of tours and activities offered right at the property, from ATVs and diving to surf lessons and animal tours. The farewell breakfast was delicious, and everything about my stay was lovely. Thanks, Jess & Seb, for such a great experience in Tamarindo, Costa Rica.
