Sueno del Mar Beachfront Hotel

Having our wedding at Sueño Del Mar was amazing, and I loved staying there. The place feels small and personal, the staff were wonderful, and breakfast was really good. They were also very accommodating about my food allergies, making separate food for me. I'll definitely stay there again on my next trip to Costa Rica.

The beach behind the building was incredible, with lots of spots to relax and gorgeous sunsets. We only booked three nights and wished we'd stayed longer; a week here would be easy. Sueno Del Mar is tucked away from Tamarindo's bustle but still walkable, maybe 20 minutes. We drove and sometimes took an Uber, which was under $5 each way, and Playa Longosta restaurants were less than a 10-minute walk. We were busy, so Sol was the only staff member we got to know, but she was lovely and made sure we had a great stay. The rooms had what we needed, the beds were comfy, and the outdoor shower felt great after a long day. Lili's breakfasts were fresh and phenomenal. Boogie boards, snorkels, books, and other things were available to borrow, with beer and soda for sale. Seeing monkeys in the morning was a bonus.

Eduardo and the team put together a packed breakfast when we had an early excursion, which was so helpful. The service was unmatched, and the experience felt authentic rather than like a tourist trap in town. It's a private B&B right on the beach, with a lovely style and a secluded feel.

This was our second visit in eight months, which probably says enough. The beachfront setting feels like home, and the staff are friendly. We love the charming, comfortable rooms, especially the bed in ours, the best we've ever had on vacation. Homemade breakfast each morning was delicious. Already looking forward to coming back.
