We had easy walks to great restaurants, and the beach access was right at the end of Playa Tamarindo, where it wasn't crowded. Casa Sueca sits just beyond downtown, so we could hear the ocean without the crowds. The courtyard and pool are beautiful, with abundant plants that made it feel like our own little jungle. On our last day, a very chill family of howler monkeys hung out in the trees and ate leaves. Our hosts were fantastic and communicative, and I can't say enough good things about the place. Casa Sueca was exactly what we'd hoped for, with unbelievable value for the money.

The grounds are pretty, and the larger two-bedroom unit gave our group tons of space. It felt private and very relaxing. One thing I didn't like was the smell of marijuana from the unit below at night. Also, one bedroom's AC worked but struggled to keep up. I'm sure that'll be fixed though.

The beach is just a short walk down the path across the street, and you might spot monkeys in the trees above you. The location also makes it easy to reach town restaurants and shops while staying far enough away to avoid nighttime noise. Our room at Casa Sueca was clean, comfortable, and well equipped, including a kitchenette with everything needed to cook and a full-sized fridge. It also seemed each room had a generous private patio with a dining table and hammock. We didn't use the pool, though it looked clean and usually wasn't busy. A lovely boutique hotel, and a peaceful place to unwind after a day of adventuring in Tamarindo.

The pool was outstanding, and the house was clean and well cared for. Our extended family had a wonderful stay, with six suites giving everyone their own space as well as plenty of places to be together. The city was fun and the people so friendly!

We stayed almost two weeks because we loved Casa Sueca so much. Each flat has its own charm, and the place felt peaceful but still full of life and beauty. The owners and Eduardo clearly put a lot of love and care into everything, right down to the details. The garden was lush and well maintained, the pool clean and pretty, and the interiors welcoming, clean, and supplied with everything we needed. The location was perfect. It's the best place we stayed in Costa Rica, and it became a home away from home. We adored it and can't wait to return. Thanks for a wonderful stay, Cat and Andy from Brighton
