Parti Gras Hotel Villas En Potrero

Radika picked this hotel for our five-day Rebirth & Alignment Retreat, and it was easy to see the appeal. It’s newly renovated, close to the beach, and within walking distance of a nice coffee shop. Breakfast is available at the hotel, and there are two pools, though I didn't get a chance to use them. I did see other guests enjoying them. I especially liked the outdoor showers for rinsing off sand, and the staff were nice. Beach towels were available at the front on request. The cat at reception was lovely too. 💓 The rooms were okay, but the beds felt too stiff. I couldn't sleep for three of the five nights, though maybe there was just a lot on my mind. The AC worked perfectly, and they cleaned the room every day.

The daily rate for our seven-night stay was reasonable, and the clean, spacious standard villa worked well for my husband and me. It had two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen, and a little dining area. The pool and breakfast area were right outside. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and breakfast ran from 7 to 9 am. Since we had early scuba dives with Under the Sea, we could eat at 7 or take breakfast to go. The beach was an easy walk, as were the dive center and restaurants. We also enjoyed heading to the beach for sunsets. The main problem was construction on another villa beside ours. Workers started around 7 am and went until late afternoon, and nobody told me about it before I booked. After diving, we wanted to rest and nap or lounge by the pool, but the noise was loud and grating. I told the front desk, but there wasn't another similar villa to move us to, so we stayed and tried to be away during the day.

We liked this hotel enough to return shortly after checking out. The location was very convenient, with the beach only a short walk away. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and kind, which made the stay feel especially pleasant. We'd gladly recommend it.

The name Parti Gras made me expect a party hotel, but my stay was the opposite. It was calm, and I ended up extending my time there. The rooms were clean and good, the grounds beautiful, the staff lovely, and breakfast was good too. It’s an easy walk to the beach and town, great value, and I’d stay again.
