The sea is right out front, but you can’t swim in it. We relaxed in the hammock on the outside porch. A guide picked us up at La pavona and accompanied us to the lodge. The room has a small kitchen where you can make your own meals. We only used the coffee machine, which was enough for us.

We had a really nice stay. The beach is right next to the building, and the place is very quiet. Our room was very clean, too. The staff were super helpful with national park tours and shuttles to other places in Costa Rica, and they speak very good English. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

It’s in a convenient spot, close to the beach and not far from the main town. But the house wasn’t very clean when we arrived: the toilet was dirty, there was dust on the floor, and we found dead insects in the pan we used. There wasn’t much lighting either, so it got pretty dark at night.

The beach view is the best on Tortuguero. During the day, relaxing in the hammocks, reading, and enjoying the sun really feels like a vacation. In the evenings, you can make lots of dog friends and have beers while taking in the great view.

It’s right on the beach, with AC in the bedroom and a clever little kitchen with a fridge. The guys were very friendly and knowledgeable, and brilliant at arranging tours. Highly recommend!
