Memories Paraiso Beach Resort - All Inclusive

I'm here with my family, and the food is good, but service is lacking. There was nothing in the room, and the resort's service felt like what you'd expect from a three-star place. Mosquitoes and bees were everywhere and made the stay uncomfortable. They should do something about that. You get what you pay for.

That beach is breathtaking. We walked along it every morning, and the staff were hardworking, friendly, and a real highlight. We felt safe throughout the trip, and the affordable family beach break we wanted was exactly what we got. We'd heard about food shortages from the pandemic and kept our expectations realistic. The room and food weren't the best, but we knew that going in. This isn't the Ritz, and we weren't expecting high-end meals. We came to get away from winter, and we'll be back ❤️ If you want an affordable vacation with an incredible beach, I'd recommend this resort. Bring plenty of USD and CAD for tips, and be generous if you can. The staff work hard and go out of their way for guests.

The beach was beautiful, though it was a long walk to get there, and mosquitoes and sand flies will feast on you. The airport bus tour guides were phenomenal and shared a wealth of information with all the guests. We had some lovely dining room servers, especially Juliet, who was so kind and went above and beyond. There were plenty of others I can't name, and I had no bad experiences in the dining room. At the front desk, Yomaily was very helpful. But Celia was extremely rude. When my husband asked for something, she looked up and said, “What do you want?” Later, we asked where the Italian restaurant was. She guessed it might be “over there” and sent us the wrong way instead of checking. We had to return and ask someone else. She left a terrible impression, and shouldn't be representing the company. The food was hard to comment on. It's Cuba. Pork came with all three meals every day and was often in everything, so if you don't eat pork, expect limited breakfast choices in particular. They did have fish and chicken at times, so you could find something to eat. The rooms my parents and I stayed in were terrible. In my room, the toilet seat kept shifting when I tried to sit, so I had to hold it steady, and one bedside lamp didn't work. The sheets had spots, and the blanket smelled like it hadn't been washed after the previous use. I woke with bites that weren't mosquito bites. The mosquito bites were in different places, and I don't know what caused these other ones. We reported the broken toilet and lamp, but no one fixed them before we left. We visited Memories Paraiso in Santa Clara, Cuba, in January 2024.

The beach was beautiful, and this is a really nice place for a vacation.
