The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We also ate really well here: the paella at lunch was lovely, and the pasta and fish soup at dinner were both delicious. This was the best food we had during our time in Havana. I’d highly recommend staying here.

I can’t recommend this place enough. Enier and Eduardo were kind and patient with me as a solo traveler from the US visiting Cuba for the first time. The managers and most of the staff speak English very well, which helped as I work on my Spanish. They also arranged taxis and tours. I’d come back to El Cuarto de Tula. I hadn’t brought enough cash for all the activities I wanted to do. Cash is the only way to get around in Cuba, and for a while that felt like a big problem because it’s hard to withdraw money at a Cuban bank with a US debit card. ATMs kept spitting mine out. At Tula, though, there’s a QR code you can scan to use Apple Pay or enter your card number and get cash in Euros or Dollars. That made my trip much better. The restaurant food is really good, and the service was on point. The room was great too, with a really nice bathroom and a perfect shower. Enier gave me the best available room, which happened to be upstairs, with a balcony overlooking the back courtyard. If you want to stay in Vedado, El Cuarto de Tula is perfect.

We ate there twice and were impressed by the variety, the great service, and the nice people. The fish, beef, and dessert were all very good. If you like soups such as goulash or halaszle, the seafood soup is a must. It’s awesome.

I only visited the restaurant, and went every day. The lunch and dinner are delicious and well prepared, though not cheap for Cuba, and they charge extra for service too. Breakfast is okay. Cuba doesn’t really have a breakfast culture, so don’t expect much in general. The cuisine is amazing. I skipped the cocktails because of all the warnings I’d heard. My one complaint is that WiFi is only for hotel guests. Restaurant customers should get to enjoy the same good service too, so that ought to change.
