Stefano and his wife Isbel were wonderfully hospitable, and they served us lovely breakfasts each morning. The casa, owned by Stefano, was in excellent shape and matched the description and photos. He also gave us really useful ideas for what to see in Havana and helped arrange our airport transfer. I stayed there on my trip to Cuba and wholeheartedly recommend it to travelers.
We spent 10 days there with the family, and it was easy to explore La Habana, with Habana Vieja and the Malecon all within walking distance. Stefano and Isbel made us feel at home. They were lovely to talk with and generous with their time and local knowledge. The rooms were excellent, and I recommend the breakfast too. I'd happily tell all my friends to stay at Hostal Havana.
The location was a real plus, where the Malecon meets El Paseo del Prado, with the main sights easy to reach from there. The couple who own it were very friendly, and they speak Italian, Spanish, and English. I felt safe throughout. The rooms were clean, with fun shower bathrooms, and I had a healthy breakfast each morning. I was always out, so never got to try dinner. Ask about wifi. There are two rooms, and one works well for a small family with kids, with upper beds.
