The staff are friendly, and the breakfast hours are generous. Breakfast costs extra, with several choices and prices. The hostel is very clean and spacious, including the large, clean rooms and bathrooms. It’s right in the heart of Havana, close to Plaza de Armas, Plaza de la Catedral, and La Bodeguita del Medio. We paid 30 CUC for a double room with a comfortable double bed, a single bed, and a large, clean private bathroom. The foam mattresses could be better. Upstairs rooms have no windows, so you notice the heat and smells, though the air conditioning makes that manageable. I’d suggest arranging access to an official taxi service for guests who need one. I recommend the place.

Miguel, the owner, is about the kindest person you could meet at a hostel. The rooms are so comfortable, the food is great, and the cleanliness is unmatched. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
