People born in Cuba can't stay here unless they leave the island and come back as residents or citizens of another country. Staff are paid less than 100 USD a month, so corruption is rampant.

We paid for a room online at HOTEL CUBANACAN CHATEAU MIRAMAR, only to be told on arrival by two unfriendly receptionists that the place had been closed for over two months because of a hot water problem. They sent us away, and there was no refund or anyone in charge we could reach. We lost our money. I wanted to report the scam to the police, but since we were on vacation we chose to leave and book a room at another hotel, Melia. Warning: the hotel is closed but still taking bookings. The rooms were amazing, the food was very good, and the staff gave us a warm welcome with excellent service. This is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. I'd come back a thousand times.
The hotel is open. What's the price for three days?
I loved the service. The place is amazing, just perfect.
